Fabio Cannavaro (Naples, 13 September 1973) is an Italian soccer player, defender and captain of the Al-Ahli. He holds the record of appearances for the Italian national team, of which he was captain for eight years and with which he was world champion in 2006.




































Has won the 2006 the Golden Ball (one of 5 Italians to have been rewarded with Omar Sivori, Gianni Rivera, Paolo Rossi and Roberto Baggio), Award instituted by French magazine France Football and awarded annually to the best player on a team registered militant UEFA, following the votes of a jury of specialized journalists. In December of that year he was elected FIFA World Player of the year as the best player ever, chosen based on the votes of national coaches and captains of the National Football.
